About Jessica Miskiewicz

Registered Psychotherapist & Clinical Counsellor

I am a Canadian psychotherapist & founder of Journey Therapy. With 18 years in the helping and healthcare field, I bring both practical insight from years of client-focused work and expertise in mental health research. My work has been published in journals such as Psychogeriatrics and featured in BC Parent Magazine

I support individuals navigating anxiety, aging, behavioral compulsions & addictions, relationship conflicts, parenting struggles, trauma, and more. I see therapy as more than just symptom relief. In my work, it is a journey to self-awareness, resilience, and living in alignment with one’s values. My goal is to help clients uncover what truly matters and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

I blend evidence-based practices with clinical expertise in emerging compulsive behaviors, including technology (social media, online gaming/shopping etc.) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) overuse, helping clients navigate the real-world effects of dopamine-driven habits. I continue to contribute in the field through research, blogging, and advocacy.

Whether in the therapy room, or through blog posts; I aim to inspire trust, curiosity, and hope, helping people navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
